Viking River Cruises Dining Information

Viking River cruises delight in providing regional specialties as well as traditional European and Continental cuisine to whet the appetite after a long day of sightseeing. Whether enjoying one of the homemade pastries during afternoon tea, or savoring the elegant dinners at the formal Welcome and Farewell dinners, cuisine on Viking is sure to please.

Main Dining Room Policies: There is open seating onboard all Viking River ships and dress is evening casual (open-neck shirts, slacks, dresses and sports outfits). Coats and ties may be worn at gentleman's discretion. Captain's Welcome and Farewell Nights are dressy, but not formal.

Beverage Policy: Coffee and tea are available free from breakfast through dinner. Sodas and alcoholic beverages are available for an additional charge. If you choose to bring local wines or liquors aboard to sample during the cruise, a corkage fee may apply. Contact your Maitre d’Hotel.

Special Requests: Please inform the Viking River Cruises of any dietary requests prior to your cruise and contact the Maître d' upon embarkation.
